We can’t argue that pets aren’t part of the family and we know you’d never be able to leave them behind when moving. If you want to get a new pet or bring your existing pet to one of our properties the first thing you need to do is let us know. Our location manager will be able to help you with the process, explain pet ownership conditions and discuss any lease restrictions with you.

Our Be Well 360 service at The Standard, Berystede Court is an inclusive and holistic programme that supports people to live a healthy, active and connected lifestyle. Our approach is simple, flexible and personalised, and is about so much more than health and fitness.

Be Well 360 promotes and enhances quality of life by;

  • Identifying individual needs and creating a plan
  • Offering the knowledge, tools and opportunities to promote physical, mental and social wellbeing
  • Serving as a community focal point and creating opportunities for people to connect with one another.

Whether you want to feel fitter, increase your energy, improve your mobility, balance and confidence, or enjoy better sleep and feel less stressed, your dedicated and professional wellbeing advisor will work with you to develop a realistic action plan that targets your aspirations.

Your advisor will guide you through your chosen activities, which could include exercise classes, learning new skills, improving your diet, creative pursuits, relaxation technics and connecting with other people, and show you how to access the wealth of resources and information available through the programme.

They’ll be with you every step of the way and offer you regular assessments so you can celebrate your improvements.

Safety and security

The Standard, Berystede Court is built with your safety and security in mind.

Your apartment comes equipped with an emergency call system which will result in an on-call member of the team coming directly to your assistance in an emergency. During times when there is no Anchor presence on site, the calls are sent to Anchor’ 24-hour customer centre. The emergency call system will allow you to have pendants and other assistive technology connected to it. Any additional assistive technology will be at your cost. AHG will provide one pendant per customer. All lifts within The Standard, Berystede Court are connected to the emergency call system.

Gardens and grounds

The Standard, Berystede Court is home to beautifully landscaped gardens and seated patios, which you needn’t lift a finger to maintain! So whether you want to stroll amongst the flower bed or sit in the shade with a book, our communal outdoor areas are the perfect place to relax and enjoy some fresh air.

Salon

With an onsite treatment room and additional hair salon, you don’t have to go far to enjoy an afternoon of pampering. Offering onsite beauty treatments is just another bonus of living at The Standard, Berystede Court.

Tucked away in the northern countryside lies Standish, a welcoming village surrounded by golf courses, parks and woodland. A short car journey will take you to Yarrow Valley Country Park or slightly further afield to the coast at Formby.

Should you wish to venture further afield, the nearby Appley Bridge train station is a mere ten-minute drive away. Other stations such as Pemberton, Gathurst, Upholland, and Wigan North Western are all reachable within thirty minutes by car. The well-connected M61 and M6 highways are easily accessible from Standish, granting a swift route to Manchester in less than an hour.
